Year Up

Year Up is a national workforce development organization that believes every young adult has potential and deserves opportunity and economic justice. Year Up's mission is to close the Opportunity Divide by ensuring that young adults gain the skills, experiences, and support that will empower them to reach their potential through careers and higher education.

Grant Partner Since: 2022

NFL Funding Supports:

  • Recruitment and training of 4.800 young adults, ages 18-30, in Year Up's workforce development program. Year Up provides training in in-demand technical skills including Business Operations, Financial Operations, Information Technology, Sales and Customer Support, and Software Development and Support as well as holistic training in business, digital and interpersonal skills.
  • Connecting students to work-based experiences with one of Year Up's 250+ corporate partners to gain hands-on experience at a leading employer.
  • Access to wraparound support services including on-staff social workers, educational stipends, a network of community-based providers, and more, to empower students to balance personal demands and the rigors of the program.
  • All graduates join the National Alumni Association, which includes lifelong access to career and academic advising, networking and employment assistance.
