Former Super Bowl-winning wide receiver James Jones is an NFL Network analyst and appears on a variety of NFL Network programs such as NFL Total Access and the network's on-location coverage of the Super Bowl. Prior to his role as an analyst, Jones finished his career having played nine seasons, only missing eight games. In those nine seasons, he totaled a career 5,861 receiving yards, 433 receptions and 51 touchdowns. Jones was drafted in the third round by the Green Bay Packers in the 2007 NFL Draft. He played in Super Bowl XLV in 2011 with the Packers, helping them win over the Pittsburgh Steelers. He has also been a member of the Oakland Raiders, New York Giants and Los Angeles Chargers. Jones finished his career in Green Bay, becoming 10th in Packers history in career catches, 12th in receiving yards and 9th in touchdowns. Jones was born in San Jose, California. He attended high school and college there, playing football, basketball and track at Henry T. Gunderson High School before committing to football at San Jose State University. His senior year at San Jose State was his breakthrough. Jones caught 70 passes, good for 833 yards and 10 touchdowns. He was named the offensive MVP of the inaugural New Mexico Bowl and earned second team All-WAC honors along with an invite to the NFL Combine in Indianapolis.
