GMC Never Say Never Moment: Colin Kaepernick

With his clutch 51-yard throw to Michael Crabtree on fourth down in the fourth quarter on the road, Colin Kaepernick clinched Week 10's GMC Never Say Never Moment of the Week. Without Kap showing off his big arm, the Niners would have dropped to 4-5. Fortunately, their signal-caller didn't let that happen.

NEVER SAY NEVER MOMENT NOMINEES

Colin Kaepernick, San Francisco 49ers

49ers work overtime for crucial road victory: San Francisco 49ers quarterback Colin Kaepernick connected with receiver Michael Crabtree for a 51-yard gain on fourth down to sustain the game-tying drive late in the fourth quarter. Later, Phil Dawson's 35-yard field goal in overtime gave the 49ers a 27-24 win over the New Orleans Saints. The winning play was set up by a sack-fumble by 49ers linebacker Ahmad Brooks on Saints quarterback Drew Brees. The loose ball was recovered by rookie linebacker Chris Borland, and winning kick came on the following play. With the win, the 49ers halted a two-game losing streak and ended the Saints' 11-game home winning streak.

Alex Smith, Kansas City Chiefs

Chiefs win despite 10-point, fourth-quarter deficit: Quarterback Alex Smith and running back Jamaal Charles each had touchdown runs as the Kansas City Chiefs erased a 13-3 fourth-quarter deficit to pull out a 17-13 road win over the Buffalo Bills. The Chiefs defense made a stand in the final frantic moments, forcing Bills quarterback Kyle Orton to throw four consecutive incompletions and halt the scoring threat.

Matthew Stafford, Detroit Lions

Stafford leads another late-game Lions rally to win: Quarterback Matthew Stafford tossed an 11-yard touchdown pass to running back Theo Riddick with 29 seconds remaining to help the Detroit Lions earn a thrilling 20-16 win over the Miami Dolphins. The late-game heroics gave Detroit its fourth consecutive win, with the past three victories coming by a combined six points. The Lions have scored the game-winning points inside of the two-minute mark of the fourth quarter to win in regulation in each of their last three games, becoming the first team since 1994 to do so.
