However, QB Cam Newton and the Panthers were able to earn a confidence-building 21-13 win over the Washington Redskins. The game featured a showdown between the two previous Heisman Trophy winners and snapped a five-game skid for the Panthers.

Isaac Redman, Pittsburgh Steelers

Steelers rally past Giants: The Pittsburgh Steelers faced an unusual gameday schedule, not to mention an emotional MetLife Stadium crowd following the events of Superstorm Sandy. However, the Steelers relentlessly charged into the lead in the fourth quarter after playing from behind the majority of the game. RB Isaac Redman capped a 14-point fourth quarter for the Steelers with the game-winning touchdown with four minutes remaining to give Pittsburgh its third consecutive win.

Andrew Luck, Indianapolis Colts

Luck breaks rookie passing record: With his head coach Chuck Pagano in attendance for the first time since being diagnosed with leukemia, QB Andrew Luck directed the Indianapolis Colts to a 23-20 win over the Miami Dolphins.
