How much offense will Panthers install?
The Panthers have the biggest mountain to climb in the league: A rookie head coach (Ron Rivera), rookie quarterback (Cam Newton), two new systems to install and very little time for anyone. It will be very interesting to see how much offense and defense the Panthers can actually install after no minicamps or OTAs. Fast installations generally lead to multiple mistakes, especially with young players. There could be at least seven starters in their first or second year, led by Newton if he beats out Jimmy Clausen at QB.
Who is third corner?
Richard Marshall was a free agent looking for a big deal. Since he was retained, Captain Munnerlyn moves up to a starting role and the third corner has to be developed. The first two games the Panthers have in the regular season are Arizona and Green Bay. Both teams will use a lot of three wide receiver sets and force that nickel corner on the field.
Who is third starting linebacker?
Rookie Lawrence Wilson is the favorite to win the starting Sam linebacker spot, but I think he will have his struggles early even though he was impressive at the Senior Bowl. Keep an eye on the Panthers shuffling the deck all summer and looking at combinations with Dan Connor and Jon Beason on the field with Thomas Davis if he's healthy. Nic Harris and Jason Williams will also push to play.

Will the No. 1 overall pick Newton show enough in camp to force 2010 second-round pick Clausen into a backup role?
