Childress: Harvin expected at Vikings' workouts next week

The Minnesota Vikings should have wide receiver Percy Harvin back next week after he missed this week's practices following his grandmother's death.

"I am expecting him here in the next couple of days," Vikings coach Brad Childress said after Saturday's training-camp workout in Mankato, Minn.

The Vikings have Sunday off, but they will be back on the field Monday, and Childress acknowledged a desire to have his key players return to the fold.

"You have to be ready the 9th of September and you want everybody to be healthy," Childress said. "I certainly don't want to push somebody here to have something linger for 10 days or two weeks. As a mother hen, I would like everybody here for every turn of training camp."

Starting right guard Anthony Herrera left Saturday's full-pads practice in discomfort because of what Childress called back spasms.

Starting center John Sullivan (right calf) and backup running backs Darius Reynaud (left ankle) and Naufahu Tahi (right calf) were held out again for another day.

Cornerback Benny Sapp was back on the field after missing the whole week following a bout with dehydration.
