    Titans coach Jeff Fisher lightened the mood for his team's final day of organized team activities. Friday's practice began about 30 minutes earlier than usual and ended after only one hour of a game called powerball.

    Chris Johnson and LenDale White, the Tennessee Titans' self-proclaimed "Smash and Dash" running backs, are dueling over what they want to be called nowadays. Johnson has dubbed himself "Every Coach's Dream," both on his Twitter account and to reporters. On Wednesday, he again declared that Smash and Dash is over.

    Tennessee Titans veteran cornerback Nick Harper had tired of dealing with contacts to correct his farsightedness. So, he decided to have eye surgery to correct a vision problem he estimates might have cost him 20 or so interceptions over his eight-year NFL career.

    Missing practice this late in the offseason isn't easy for Tennessee Titans center Kevin Mawae. The 15-year NFL veteran had surgery in January to repair a partially torn triceps tendon in his right arm, the one he uses to snap the ball. Now he's five months into a six-month recovery from major surgery.

    The Titans signed receiver Nate Washington as a free agent, drafted receiver Kenny Britt and tight end Jared Cook to give KerryCollins some more help. Everyone else also now has a full year in offensive coordinator Mike Heimerdinger's system, and the early results have the Titans optimistic that they can match Chris Johnson's big-play potential on the ground by going to the air.

    Five current and former NFL coaches who are leaders on and off the field will launch a new tradition this month with the inaugural NFL-USO Coaches Tour. Giants Head Coach Tomn Coughlin; former Steelers Head Coach Bill Cowher; Titans Head Coach Jeff Fisher; former Raiders and Buccaneers Head Coach Jon Gruden; and Ravens Head Coach John Harbaugh will travel to meet and greet servicemembers for several days in the Persian Gulf region.

Pro Career: Officially became the franchise's 15th head coach on Jan. 5, 1995, after closing his first campaign with the Oilers as head coach/defensive coordinator. He replaced Jack Pardee on Nov. 14, 1994, coaching the remaining six games as head coach.

Fisher holds the franchise mark for wins with 102 over his 11-year coaching career and ranks fifth among NFL head coaches (Dungy, Reid, Cowher, and Shanahan) with 65 victories since 1999.

Last year, he became the 34th coach in NFL history to reach the 100-win plateau.

In 2004, he became the fourth youngest coach (46) since 1960 to reach 90 regular-season victories (John Madden, Don Shula, and Bill Cowher).

Over the last seven seasons, Fisher has led the Titans to four playoff appearances, two AFC Championship Games, two division titles and a berth in Super Bowl XXXIV.

In 2000, Fisher became only the fifth coach in NFL history to lead his team to consecutive 13-win seasons, joining Mike Holmgren, George Seifert, Marv Levy, and Mike Ditka.

Fisher originally joined the Oilers in 1994 as the defensive coordinator, after serving as defensive backs coach for the San Francisco 49ers (1992-93). Prior to heading up the 49ers secondary, Fisher served as the defensive coordinator for the Los Angeles Rams (1991).

He began his coaching career with the Philadelphia Eagles in 1986, where he handled defensive backs until becoming the NFL's youngest defensive coordinator in 1988.

Drafted by Chicago in seventh round in 1981, he spent five seasons as a cornerback and kick returner for the Bears (1981-85). Assisted defensive coordinator Buddy Ryan in Bears' 1985 Super Bowl championship season after being placed on injured reserve with ankle injury.

Background: Played at Southern California (1977-1980) for John Robinson in a star-studded defensive backfield that included Ronnie Lott, Dennis Smith, and Joey Browner. Member of the USC team that won the national championship in 1978. Also served as the Trojans' backup placekicker and was a Pac-10 All-Academic selection in 1980.

Personal: Born February 25, 1958, in Culver City, Calif. Jeff and his wife, Juli, have three children, sons Brandon and Trenton, and daughter Tara.
