Pro Career: The Vikings named Frazier the eighth head coach in team history on January 3, 2011. Frazier went 3-3 as the team’s interim coach after Brad Childress was fired on Nov. 22, 2010 following a 3-7 start. He has served as an assistant head coach/defensive coordinator with the Vikings since 2007.


 

Background: Prior to joining the Vikings, Frazier spent two seasons with the Indianapolis Colts as a defensive backs coach, two seasons with the Cincinnati Bengals as defensive coordinator, and three seasons with the Philadelphia Eagles as a defensive backs coach. Frazier was a starting cornerback with the 1985 Chicago Bears team that won Super Bowl XX. Frazier has 11 years of collegiate coaching experience, including time at the University of Illinois and Trinity International University.


 

Personal: Frazier was born on April 3, 1959 in Columbus, Miss., and attended S.D. Lee High School. He holds a degree in business administration and was active in the Fellowship of Christian Athletes throughout his playing career.
