Roger Goodell sits outdoors for Super Bowl XLVIII

EAST RUTHERFORD, N.J. -- NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell promised that he would enjoy Super Bowl XLVIII with outdoor seats in the elements. He was a man of his word Sunday.

Like the rest of the crowd that attended MetLife Stadium, Goodell likely was relieved that he didn't have to sit in unforgiving conditions. The game-time temperature was 49 degrees, which was only the third-coldest Super Bowl in history.
