Gameday Weather:

Q: What should I wear to the game?

- We are embracing this first-ever, cold weather Super Bowl played in an open-air stadium and encourage fans to do the same. February weather in New York/New Jersey can range from heavy snow and freezing temperatures to sunshine and mild temperatures in the 40s.
- People cope better in cold weather if they are well fueled, so be sure to stay hydrated and take in food. Frostbite affects toes, fingers, ears and nose first, so gloves, scarves and ear protection can protect these parts. Since we lose much of our heat from our head, a thick hat or wool cap can help you keep warm. We encourage everyone attending Super Bowl to wear a heavy coat or parka and lots of layers! And remember, alcohol reduces your body temperature, so please consume responsibly.

Q: What happens if the game is cancelled?

A: NFL games are commonly played in inclement weather. Only in the case of extreme weather that threatens public safety will the game potentially be postponed. In the unlikely event that such a situation occurs, information for affected ticketholders will be made available on SuperBowl.com, through NFL Mobile and on the @SuperBowl Twitter account. We recommend checking our website as gameday nears for more information about game-related activities and how to properly prepare for the weather.
