Opening Date:
The Louisiana Superdome first opened its doors on August 3, 1975. On September 25, 2006 about one year and one month after suffering massive damage due to Hurricane Katrina, its doors were reopened. On October 4, 2011 it was renamed the Mercedes-Benz Superdome.
