Draft 2013

Pick Analysis: Boston College consistently produces NFL-caliber offensive line talent, ranking seventh among all schools in draft picks up front over the past 20 years (tied with Penn State and Georgia with 16, four behind leader Wisconsin). Wetzel appears to be the next in long line of former Eagles including Marc Colombo, Gosder Cherilus and Jeremy Trueblood possessing the tall, strong build helping them all become starters at the next level.

The Pittsburgh native played behind Anthony Castonzo, another tall tackle who started as a rookie for the Indianapolis Colts in 2011, in 14 games over his first two seasons. He stepped into the left tackle spot as a junior, however, starting all 12 games as the team struggled through a 4-8 season. As a senior, Wetzel moved over to the right tackle position.
