Girthy wide-body with a thick, heavy base that teams dream of for nose tackles. Desired center of gravity improves ability to sink into the soil and stand his ground against double teams. Played with urgency defending and squeezing his gap this year. Impressive growth and improvement from 2017 to 2018. Quick reaction to snap firing out of stance and into neutral zone with force. Combination of balance and upper-body power make him tough to whip with a single blocker. Anticipates double teams and seeks to split them before they develop. Plays with wide base and quality shed strength. Rarely stops churning feet as bull-rusher, allowing him to maximize his pocket push.

Inconsistent feel for down blocks on his edge. At times, fails to have off-hand ready to attack angle blocks and protect his edge. Anchor could benefit from improved feel for footwork and redistribution of weight after contact. Tackle radius somewhat limited by squatty frame and lack of length. Goes from hunter to survivor against double teams when fatigue sets in. Despite solid senior season, body of work has been underwhelming relative to his talent.
