Pick Analysis: Allen lacks the size and speed to be a starter at the next level, but he could contribute as a change-of-pace back. He effectively hides behind his blockers and has the vision to find holes and cutback lanes. He is a very capable receiver that has experience lining up wide and turns and runs effectively after the catch. However, he does not have the explosion to get open in man coverage and he will not gain consistent yardage after the catch. Allen is a solid football player, but his physical limitations probably make him a rookie free agent.
