Peyton Manning is currently on pace for 55 TD passes this season, which would break Tom Brady's NFL record, set in 2007, by five TDs.
Lions vs. Eagles
Just four NFL teams have two players with 1,000-plus yards from scrimmage this season, and this contest matches up two of those four teams. Reggie Bush (1,302) and Calvin Johnson (1299) meet LeSean McCoy (1,523) and DeSean Jackson (1,021). The Eagles are the only team with a 1,000-plus yard rusher and a 1,000-plus yard receiver. The other two teams with multiple players over 1,000 scrimmage yards are the Broncos (Knowshon Moreno/Demaryius Thomas) and Bears (Matt Forte/Alshon Jeffery).
Cowboys vs. Bears
The Cowboys are allowing 421.6 yards per game, worst in the NFL this season, and the fifth worst mark by any team since 1935. The Bears are allowing 386.0 yards per game, the most by a Bears team since 1933
The Seahawks have faced three opponents this season that are currently in line to make the NFC playoffs (Panthers, 49ers and Saints) and outscored them by a total of 75-17. Seattle did not allow more than seven points in any of those games, holding both the Panthers and Saints to seven points, and the 49ers to three points.
Which trend will hold? The struggling Chiefs defense has one sack in the last four games combined, which is the fewest in the NFL during that span. The hobbling Robert Griffin III has been sacked 19 times over the last four games, which is the most in the NFL during that period.
As a starting QB, Eli Manning is 0-2 against the team that selected him first overall in the 2004 NFL Draft. Yet, Manning's passer rating against the Chargers, 107.2, is his second-highest against all opponents (his best is against the Rams -- 115.5 passer rating). Against San Diego, Eli has thrown for four TDs, 0 INTs and is looking for his third consecutive 100-plus passer rating.
Josh Gordon has back-to-back games with 200-plus receiving yards. The Patriots haven't allowed a wide receiver to go over 121 receiving yards this season. Bill Belichick has never allowed a receiver to gain 200 yards against him in a game.
The Panthers enter this game with the NFL's longest winning streak at 8 games. Heading into Week 14, only three teams in the NFL -- the Panthers, Seahawks (seven games) and Eagles (four games) -- have a winning streak of longer than 2 games.
Ben Roethlisberger is on pace to be sacked 48 times, which would be the second most of his career (50 sacks in 2009). However, Big Ben is on a bit of a hot streak in this category; he has not been sacked in either of his last two games. That marks the first time in his career, including playoffs, that Roethlisberger has gone two consecutive games without being sacked.
Currently at 14,921 receiving yards, Tony Gonzalez is 14 yards shy of passing Tim Brown for the fifth-most receiving yards in NFL history.
