September 12, 1989 Andrew Luck is born in Washington, D.C. His father, Oliver, currently serves as athletic director for West Virginia University. Oliver Luck is also a former NFL quarterback for the Houston Oilers.

October 29, 1989 Raymond Berry's New England Patriots defeat the Colts with a field goal in overtime, winning the game 23-20. The Colts-Patriots rivalry heats up.
Pop Warner Years
2001 Andrew Luck plays Pop Warner football for the Lake Travis Wildcats. Luck initially starts playing football as a defensive end and running back, but later makes the switch to quarterback before entering high school. His father, Oliver Luck, is his Pop Warner coach.

September 30, 2001 Tom Brady makes his first NFL start against Peyton Manning and the Colts. The Patriots defeat the Colts 44-13. The Colts finish the season 6-10; while the Patriots go on to defeat the Rams in the Super Bowl.
2007 Luck finishes his high school career with 7,139 passing yards, 53 touchdowns and 2,085 rushing yards. Luck is co-valedictorian of his graduating class and is listed as a 4-star recruit by Rivals.com. He chooses Stanford over offers from Northwestern, Virginia, Rice, Purdue and Oklahoma State.

Battle of the Unbeatens
November 4, 2007 The 8-0 Patriots face the 7-0 Colts in the RCA Dome. On a potential game-winning drive, Manning throws an interception to Roosevelt Colvin and the Patriots run out the clock to win 24-20. The Colts finish the season 13-3, but lose to the Chargers in the divisional playoffs. The Patriots finish the regular season undefeated, but lose to the Giants in the Super Bowl.

2009 After redshirting his freshman year, Luck begins the season as Stanford's starting quarterback. On November 14, 2009, Luck leads Stanford to a 55-21 rout over USC at the Coliseum. Stanford earns a berth in the 2009 Sun Bowl, but Luck is unable to play after injuring his finger in the final game of the regular season. Stanford loses to Oklahoma 31-27.

November 15, 2009 The undefeated Indianapolis Colts play the 6-2 New England Patriots in Brady's first start at Lucas Oil Stadium. With 4:12 left in the fourth quarter, New England holds a 34-21 lead, but the Patriots fail on a fourth-and-2 from their own 28-yard line, and Manning leads the Colts on a game-winning drive and a 35-34 victory. The Patriots are eliminated in the wild-card round by the Ravens, while a costly turnover by Peyton Manning seals a 31-17 loss to the Saints in the Super Bowl.

November 20, 2010 Luck leads Stanford to a 48-14 win over crosstown rival Cal. The Cardinal finish the season with a 12-1 record and a No. 4 ranking in the AP poll. Luck is named Orange Bowl MVP after throwing 4 TD passes in a 40-12 victory over Virginia Tech.

End of an Era
November 21, 2010 The 6-3 Colts travel to New England for the first time since 2006. Down by three in the fourth quarter, Manning throws an interception to James Sanders, losing the game 31-28. This is the last time Peyton Manning faces the Patriots as a member of the Colts. Both teams are eliminated from the playoffs by the Jets in 2010.

December 4, 2011 The New England Patriots defeat the Dan Orlovsky led Indianapolis Colts 31-24. The Colts finish the season 2-14, giving them the No. 1 overall pick.

December 8, 2011 Andrew Luck is the Heisman trophy runner-up for the second year in a row. Luck completes an 11-1 season putting Stanford at No. 7 in the final AP poll. At the Fiesta Bowl, Stanford loses to Oklahoma State, 41-38. Luck is drafted No. 1 overall by the Indianapolis Colts in the 2012 season.

November 18, 2012 Andrew Luck will meet the Patriots on Week 11 in Foxborough. This will mark Luck's first showdown with their conference rival, but it certainly doesn't look to be his last.
