Scott Hanson is in his sixth year as a host and field reporter for NFL Network, filing reports from NFL games, practices and events throughout the year. This season, he joins Lindsay Soto as co-host of NFL Total Access, providing the latest news and reports from around the NFL.

Hanson is also the host of the NFL RedZone channel. Produced by NFL Network, NFL RedZone whips around every NFL game on Sunday afternoons delivering the touchdowns and most exciting moments live and in high definition. NFL RedZone and Hanson were widely praised by the fans and media during its first season, being called "By far, the most innovative sports television creation of 2009—or even the decade" by the Denver Post and “"he greatest invention in the history of mankind" by Sports Illustrated.

Hanson can also be seen on Mondays on NFL Network as host of Up to the Minute, providing a fast-paced look at the biggest NFL headlines from the previous week, along with a preview of the Monday Night Football matchup.

Prior to his start with NFL Network, Hanson spent two years with Comcast SportsNet in Philadelphia. He then moved to the Mid-Atlantic region where he served as lead anchor for the regional sports network for four years. In this capacity, he reported on all major sports and wrote, produced and hosted a documentary on Washington, D.C. baseball history. Previously, his broadcasting experience included stints as an anchor and reporter for WFTS-TV (ABC) in Tampa, WICS-TV (NBC) in Springfield, Illinois and WPBN-TV (NBC) in Traverse City, Michigan.

Outside of his broadcast career, Hanson is very involved in working with the unprivileged. He has worked with the Missionaries of Charity and traveled internationally on humanitarian aid missions. His third and latest humanitarian aid mission was to the Amazon where Hanson interacted with the local children and helped set up medical and dental clinics.

Hanson graduated Cum Laude from Syracuse University’s S.I. Newhouse School of Public Communications. He was a four-year walk-on for the Orangemen football team, earning Scout Team Player of the Year honors in 1992.
