Former St. Louis Rams and Indianapolis Colts all-pro running back Marshall Faulk enters his sixth season as an NFL Network analyst.
Faulk serves an analyst on NFL Total Access and No Huddle, where he is relied on to provide a player's perspective into today’s game. He also appears on NFL Network's Thursday Night Football pregame, halftime and postgame show.
On NFL Sundays, Faulk can be seen on the Emmy-nominated NFL GameDay Morning which kicks off NFL Network's full coverage of all the NFL action on Sunday.
This August, Faulk, along with fellow NFL Network analyst Deion Sanders were inducted into the Pro Football Hall of Fame’s Class of 2011.
Faulk added game analyst to his versatile resume in 2006, with an impromptu appearance in the broadcast booth during Cowboys vs. Falcons on NFL Network with Sanders, filling in for Dick Vermeil. Faulk and Sanders returned to the NFL Network booth in 2007, providing color analysis for Bengals vs. 49ers and Steelers vs. Rams, and again in 2008 for Ravens vs. Cowboys. In 2011, Faulk began calling preseason games for the St. Louis Rams.
Faulk is a seven-time Pro Bowl selection and received numerous awards including NFL MVP (2000), Offensive Player of Year (1999-2001), NFL Rookie of the Year (1994), and Pro Bowl MVP (1995). In June 2009, Faulk was inducted into the Louisiana Sports Hall of Fame, joining the ranks of past NFL inductees Archie Manning and Terry Bradshaw.
Faulk played in two Super Bowls with the St. Louis Rams. The Rams won Super Bowl XXXIV defeating the Tennessee Titans 23-16 and were defeated by the New England Patriots in Super Bowl XXXVI, 20-17.
In 1994, Faulk was the second overall selection in the NFL Draft by the Indianapolis Colts. He rushed for 1,000 yards in four of his five seasons with the Colts and scored 51 touchdowns.
Faulk was traded to the St. Louis Rams on Draft Day 1999. That season, he set an NFL record by gaining 2,429 total yards from scrimmage and led the Rams to the franchise's only Super Bowl victory. In winning league MVP honors a year later, he set a career-high 26 touchdowns.
Faulk is the only player in NFL history to record over 2,000 yards from scrimmage in four-consecutive seasons. He also holds Rams records for career (85) and rushing (58) touchdowns and ranks near the top of numerous NFL statistical categories including all-purpose yards, touchdowns and receptions by a running back.
Born in New Orleans, LA in 1973, Faulk attended George Washington Carver High School and San Diego State University where he was a three-time consensus All-American. In 2009, he was inducted into San Diego’s Breitbard Hall of Fame for his performance both on and off the field.
