Former Super Bowl-winning linebacker and defensive end DeMarcus Ware joins NFL Network as an analyst where he appears on the new show NFL Players Only, airing Fridays at 6:00 PM ET during the season, as well as various other NFL Network programs.

Prior to his role as an analyst, he spent nine seasons with the Cowboys, departing in 2013 as the franchise's all-time leader in quarterback sacks with 117 sacks total. Ware then played three seasons with the Denver Broncos, helping them win Super Bowl 50 in 2016 over the Carolina Panthers. After the 2016 season with the Broncos, he announced his retirement. In 2017, he signed a one-day contract with Dallas to retire as a Cowboy.

Ware was drafted by the Dallas Cowboys in the 2005 NFL Draft as the 11th overall pick in the first round. He played college football at Troy University, where he was a two-time All-Sun Belt Conference selection for the team. He became a starter at defensive end as a sophomore and part of the same defensive line that included future NFL player Osi Umenyiora. As a senior, Ware received the Sun Belt Defensive Player of the Year and helped lead his team to the school's first-ever bowl appearance in the Silicon Valley Football Classic. He finished his college career with 27.5 sacks, 201 tackles, 74 quarterback hurries, 10 forced fumbles and one interception. In 2012, he was inducted into the Troy University Sports Hall of Fame and in 2014, he was inducted into the Senior Bowl Hall of Fame.
