On-air Talent
Deion Sanders is an NFL Network analyst and can be seen on a variety of shows throughout the season.
On Sundays during the NFL season, Sanders joins host LaDainian Tomlinson and Chris Rose on NFL Network's NFL GameDay Prime, providing interviews with all of the top playmakers from the day's games. Additionally, Deion is an on-location analyst for Thursday Night Football on CBS, NBC and NFL Network, providing pregame, halftime and postgame analysis.
Sanders, who holds the NFL record for career return touchdowns (19 by kickoff, punt, interception and fumble), also added game analyst to his versatile resume in 2006, with an impromptu appearance in the broadcast booth during Cowboys vs. Falcons on NFL Network. Sanders returned to the NFL Network booth in 2007, providing color analysis for Bengals vs. 49ers and Steelers vs. Rams, and again in 2008 for Ravens vs. Cowboys. Sanders retired after spending the 2004-05 seasons with the Baltimore Ravens. Previously, he was an analyst on CBS' The NFL Today pregame show from 2001-03.
An eight-time Pro Bowler, Sanders played 14 NFL seasons for the Atlanta Falcons, San Francisco 49ers, Dallas Cowboys, Washington Redskins and Baltimore Ravens. He has 53 career interceptions – 22nd all-time – and his 25.1-yards per interception return average ranks second in NFL history (minimum 30 interceptions). Sanders is also tied for second all-time with nine interception-return touchdowns, ranking behind former NFL Network analyst Rod Woodson (14).
The Hall of Famer won two Super Bowls in 1994 with San Francisco 49ers win Super Bowl XXIX and again with the Dallas Cowboys in Super Bowl XXX two years later. With Defensive Player-of-the-Year honors in 1994, Sanders became the first player in NFL history with two 90+ yard INT-returns for touchdowns in a season.
In 2011, Sanders was a part of the Pro Football Hall of Fame's induction class. Later that year, he was one of 14 players and two coaches named in the National Football Foundation's 2011 College Football Hall of Fame Football Bowl Subdivision Class.
A two-time All-American at Florida State, Sanders was the first-round draft choice of the Atlanta Falcons in 1989. He is the only person in professional sports history to play in the World Series and the Super Bowl.
