Outside of football, Papa is best known for his work in boxing. In 2008, Papa worked his seventh Olympics covering boxing for NBC and is the voice for HBO’s Boxing After Dark. Papa has covered the Budweiser Boxing Series on NBC and called more than 1,200 bouts for ESPN's Friday Night Fights and Sportschannel America. In 1992, Papa was named the New York State Associated Press Sportscaster of the Year.
