Bell signs Eagles' one-year offer; Saints have seven days to match

Running back Mike Bell, a restricted free agent, signed the Phildelphia Eagles' one-year, $1.7 million offer sheet, the team announced Tuesday.

Bell's current team, the New Orleans Saints, now have seven days to match the Eagles' offer or allow the four-year veteran to leave for Philadelphia without compensation.

Having released Brian Westbrook, the Eagles are looking to add a complimentary back to pair with second-year pro LeSean McCoy, and they have visited with several players.

Bell shared time with Pierre Thomas and Reggie Bush in the Saints' backfield last season. Bush is set to make $8 million next season.
