DETROIT -- The Lions' Sunday home game against the St. Louis Rams will be blacked out on television in and around the Motor City.

Lions spokesman Bill Keenist confirmed Thursday the team didn't sell all of the 10,000-plus tickets that were still available the previous day. Therefore, the game featuring the 1-5 Lions and the winless Rams will be blacked out in the Detroit, Lansing, Saginaw-Flint and Toledo, Ohio, markets.
Detroit sold out two of its first four games, receiving a lot of help the last time it was home from Pittsburgh Steelers fans who filled Ford Field to make it look and sound as if the Lions were on the road.
