HUDSON, Wis. -- The Green Bay Packers will "wait and see" what their former quarterback, Brett Favre, decides to do before they seek to restore their relationship with him, team president Mark Murphy said Tuesday.
Murphy didn't directly answer a question about whether a $20 million, 10-year marketing deal that the Packers proposed to Favre last summer was still on the table. But Murphy said he wasn't sure what the Packers' future with Favre will look like, beyond the eventual retirement of his jersey.
Murphy and Packers players Nick Collins, Jordy Nelson and Brady Poppinga were in Hudson for the team's "Tailgate Tour" of the state to mingle with fans and raise money for local charities.
Hudson is right across the river from Minnesota, where Favre speculation has swirled. The Vikings are interested in Favre, who's retired, if he decides to come back to the NFL again.
