This is how the NFL's 32 teams stack up after Week 10:
In the hunt | Teams that look good enough to be among the 12 playoff qualifiers, but not based on conference. | | Rank | Team | Record | Prv. | Comment | | 1. | Tennessee Titans | 9-0 | 1 | Go ahead, dare them to throw. The Titans can win that way, too. | | 2. | New York Giants | 8-1 | 2 | After reinforcing their NFC East supremacy, they can bring the soaring Ravens back down to earth. | | 3. | Carolina Panthers | 7-2 | 4 | It's hard to believe that a team and a quarterback could be as rusty as the Panthers and Jake Delhomme were after only a one-week layoff. Presumably, they'll play much better vs. the Lions. | | 4. | Pittsburgh Steelers | 6-3 | 3 | Big Ben must put his killer mistakes behind him and focus on beating the Chargers. | | 5. | Washington Redskins | 6-3 | 5 | Rebounding from the Week 9 Monday night mauling at Pittsburgh with a win vs. the Cowboys would make a huge statement. | | 6. | Arizona Cardinals | 6-3 | 6 | The Cards made beating the 49ers much more difficult than it needed to be, but they do have a virtual lock on the pathetic NFC West. | | 7. | Tampa Bay Buccaneers | 6-3 | 7 | As the Bucs hope to sort out their injury-ravaged running game, they'd better have an answer for stopping Adrian Peterson. | | 8. | N.Y. Jets | 6-3 | 11 | The chance to take control of the AFC East awaits in Foxborough. | | 9. | Baltimore Ravens | 6-3 | 9 | Finally, the Ravens have an explosive offense to complement their dominant defense. | | 10. | Philadelphia Eagles | 5-4 | 8 | Harsh NFC East reality: the line forms behind the Giants. | | 11. | Atlanta Falcons | 6-3 | 12 | Shutting down Drew Brees and the Saints' passing game is a major accomplishment. | | 12. | New England Patriots | 6-3 | -- | Ho-hum, another win over Buffalo. But the Jets present a much larger challenge. | The rest Have a question for Vic? Send it to AskVic@nfl.com, and the best ones will be answered on NFL.com. | |
