Super Ad: That's How I See It Contest Rules

Official Rules

NO PURCHASE NECESSARY to Enter or Win.

Eligibility: Super Ad: That's How I See It Contest (hereafter, "Contest") is open to legal residents of the fifty (50) United States and the District of Columbia who are eighteen (18) years of age or older as of the date of entry. Employees, officers, directors, agents and representatives of the National Football League (hereafter, "Sponsor"), its member professional football clubs, NFL Ventures, L.P., NFL Enterprises LLC, NFL Productions LLC, NFL International LLC, NFL Properties LLC, Samsung, Project Support Team, Inc. and each of their respective parents, affiliates, subsidiaries, wholesalers, retailers, distributors, suppliers, advertising and promotion agencies (hereafter collectively, "Released Parties"), and each such individual's immediate family members (mother, father, sister, brother, any child, husband, wife and their respective spouses, regardless of where they reside) and those living in their same households, whether or not related, are not eligible to participate or win a prize. Void where prohibited by law. All applicable federal, state and local laws apply.

How to Enter/Judging: Visit one (1) of twenty (20) participating NFL Events (each, an "Event") taking place between 9/4/08 and 10/26/08. All Events are free of charge. For a list of the dates, hours of registration and locations of each of the twenty (20) Events, visit www.nfl.com/superad. At the start of each Event, there will be a registration period where participants will be instructed to complete an Entry Form and Release during the designated time period. The registration period will last for approximately thirty (30) minutes and a maximum of seventy-five (75) participants will be accepted. Eligible participants will be able to register on a first-come, first-served basis during such period. Sponsor does not guarantee that every eligible individual who wishes to participate will be able to do so. Those eligible participants who complete the registration process within the allotted time will advance to the Pre-Screening Round (as described below).

Pre-Screening Round: Each eligible participant will be called to the judges table one (1) at a time and asked to described in one (1) minute or less their favorite memory surrounding professional football (the, "Theme"). Memories relevant to the Theme may include, but are not limited to, a description of a special pregame ritual, a memorable NFL moment in their life, how the participant watches the game, or how she/he has come to love the NFL. At the completion of the one (1) minute period, the Official Judges will score the participants' story based on the following criteria: 1) Story's Commercial Appeal: 0-50 points; and 2) Story's relevance to theme: 0-50 points. If a participant scores 75 points or higher he/she will proceed to the Video Round (as described below). If a participant scores 74 points or less he/she will not proceed in the Promotion and his/her participation will end at that time.

Video Round: During the Video Round, each eligible participant will enter the NFL Trailer on-site and video record, in two (2) minutes or less, the story they presented to the Pre-Screening judges. No other story than the story told to the judges will be accepted. Eligible participants will only have one opportunity to video record his/her story. All videos recorded in the Video Round of each of the 20 Events will be judged by Sponsor based on the following criteria: 1) Story's Commercial Appeal: 0-40 points; 2) Story's relevance to theme: 0-40 points; and 3) Originality/Creativity: 0-20 points. The forty-eight (48) videos that scored the highest number of points, as determined by Sponsor in its sole discretion, will proceed to the Voting Rounds. Any tie will be broken by Sponsor in its sole discretion. Sponsor reserves the right to select fewer than forty-eight (48) videos if, in its sole discretion, it does not receive a sufficient number of eligible and qualified videos. Limit one (1) Entry per person for the duration of the Contest. To be eligible, story cannot have been previously published or submitted in any previous or current competition, contest and must be: complete; video submission ("Entry") must be in English; true and verifiable; be in keeping with Sponsor's image; and must be your original creation. Modification of an existing work does not qualify as original. Entry cannot defame or invade publicity and/or intellectual property rights or the privacy of any person, living or deceased, or otherwise infringe upon any copyrighted, trademarked, or patented works or person's personal or proprietary rights. In the event of non-compliance with any requirements specified herein, Entry will be void. Entries or stories deemed by the judges, in their sole discretion, to be immoral, obscene, profane or not in keeping with Sponsor's image or in violation of these Official Rules will be void. Assignment of Rights: Entrants further warrant and represent that (1) Sponsor shall own the Entry (and all material embodied therein) and will not be acknowledged or returned; and (2) that by entering, the Entrant irrevocably assigns to Sponsor and its designees any and all rights, title and interest in the Entry including but not limited to all intellectual property rights; and (3) that Sponsor and its designees shall have, without limitation, the perpetual right worldwide to edit, adapt, modify, publish, exploit and use the Entry in any way and in any and all media for trade, advertising, promotional, public relations and/or other purposes as Sponsor and/or its designees may determine without further permission from, or notification or consideration to Entrants or any third parties. Entrants further agree to abide by these Official Rules and the decisions of the Sponsor and judges, which shall be final and binding. Your submission of an Entry constitutes your representation of eligibility, consent to participate in Contest and consent for Sponsor to obtain, use, and transfer your name, address and other information for the purpose of Contest administration. Released Parties are not responsible for lost, incomplete, late, stolen, garbled, delayed, illegible, unintelligible, inaccurate or misdirected entry forms, entries, videos, or submissions; theft, destruction or unauthorized access to, or alteration of, entries; or human-processing error; errors or omissions in these Official Rules, in any Contest-related advertisements or other materials, in the selection or announcement of winners or in awarding of prize; or other problems or errors of any kind whether mechanical, human, electronic or otherwise relating to or in connection with the Contest, including any problems or errors which may occur in connection with the administration of the Contest or with the recording of videos at any NFL trailer or the cancellation of any select NFL event or the game. Sponsor reserves the right to void and remove any and all Entries of an entrant who Sponsor believes has attempted to tamper with, influence, or impair the administration, security, fairness, judging or proper play of Contest and such entrant will be disqualified and all associated Entries will be void. All entries become property of Sponsor and will not be returned. Sponsor reserves the right in its sole discretion to post all approved Entries on www.nfl.com/superad for public viewing. Participation, at any level, may be photographed, recorded and/or videotaped and may be used by Sponsor and its designees in any and all media now or hereafter known worldwide in perpetuity without additional compensation, notification, or permission.

Voting Period: Voting Period begins 12:00:00 am (midnight) Eastern Time ("ET") on 11/20/08 and ends 11:59:59 pm ET on 1/4/09.

The Voting Period will be divided into the following three (3) Rounds:

Round 1 Start: 12:00:00 am ET on 11/20/08 End: 11:59:59 pm ET on 12/3/08

Round 2 Start: 12:00:00 am ET on 12/4/08 End: 11:59:59 pm ET on 12/17/08

Round 3 Start: 12:00:00 am ET on 12/18/08 End: 11:59:59 pm ET on 1/4/09

Voting is open to legal residents of the fifty (50) U.S. and the District of Columbia (hereafter, "Voters"). To vote for your favorite Entry: a) visit www.nfl.com/superad during the Voting Period; b) follow the instructions provided and click on the "Vote" button; c) view the provided Entries; and d) vote for your favorite Entry by clicking on the applicable "Vote for me" button. Sponsor reserves the right in its sole discretion to modify start and end times of the voting rounds, as well as the dates the highest-ranking videos are announced.

During Round 1 and 2 (see chart above), Voters will have the opportunity to view the videos for each of eight (8) Groups (each group will have six (6) Videos; Round 1 will host the videos for Groups 1-4 and Round 2 will host the videos for Groups 5-8) and vote for their favorite video in each Group. The video that receives the highest ranking (as described below) in each Group (for a total of eight (8) videos) will advance to Round 3.

During Round 3 (see chart above), Voters will have the opportunity to view nine (9) videos (the video from each of the eight (8) groups that received the highest ranking (which shall be determined as described below), as determined by Sponsor, and one (1) wild card player video selected by Sponsor) and vote for the one (1) video that you like the best. The one (1) Video during Voting Round 3 that receives the highest ranking (as defined below) will be determined the Grand Prize winner (subject to verification).

To participate in Round 3, entrants who are chosen as potential Round 3 semi-finalists ("Semi-Finalists") must respond within five (5) calendar days of first attempted notification and must (a) have submitted a signed waiver and release form and otherwise comply with "Assignment of Rights" provisions of these rules, above; (b) completed an Affidavit of Eligibility and Release, and (c) indicated willingness and ability to participate in possible (not guaranteed) Grand Prize Commercial Shoot and/or publicity Photo Shoot for contest promotion on dates and at a location to be determined by the NFL. Further proof or verification of identity and qualifications may be required along with a background check. Failure to comply may result in disqualification and selection of another Semi-Finalist to compete in Round 3, as selected based on criteria described. If travel is required, Semi-Finalists must be prepared to travel on dates specified by Sponsor for potential commercial shoot or forfeit their right to further compete, with another potential Semi-Finalist chosen. Potential Semi-Finalists will be notified in person, by phone, mail or email at Sponsor's discretion, before December 18, 2008. Once up to nine (9) Semi-Finalists for Round 3 have been determined and all necessary winner paperwork has been returned, Semi-Finalist's submission videos and, possibly, photographs will be featured at www.nfl.com/superad starting on or about December 18, 2008.

There is no limit to the number of times a Voter can vote in any round. At the conclusion of each Voting Round, the videos will be ranked from one upward (with one being the highest ranked) based: (i) on the number of eligible votes submitted by Voters, (ii) Sponsor's ranking of the videos, and (iii) the ranking of a television commercial director selected by Sponsor, to determine the applicable winning video(s) (each of the three (3) rankings will carry equal weight, but any tie will be broken by Sponsor in its sole discretion). The winning video in each Group will advance to Round 3 (as described above). The use of automated devices (or any other devices intended to automate or subvert any aspect of entry or voting) to enter or cast a vote is prohibited and any Entry or vote through such means will, at Sponsor's sole discretion, be void. Sponsor reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to void any votes of entrants whom Sponsor believes has attempted to tamper with or impair the administration, security, fairness or proper play of this Contest or is in violation of these Official Rules. Eligible participants are prohibited from obtaining votes by any fraudulent or inappropriate means, including, without limitation, offering prizes or other inducements to members of the public, as determined by Sponsor in its sole discretion. Released Parties are not responsible for failures or malfunctions of phones, phone lines or telephone systems; interrupted or unavailable network, server or other connections; any error, omission, interruption, defect or delay in any transmission or communication; traffic congestion on the Internet or any technical problem, including but not limited to any injury or damage to entrant's or any other person's computer related to or resulting from Contest participation or voting; or other problems or errors of any kind whether mechanical, human, electronic or otherwise relating the tabulating of votes. Neither Sponsor, nor anyone acting on its behalf, will enter into communications with any entrant regarding Contest other than to notify the potential Grand Prize winner.

(1) Grand Prize: 4-Day/3-Night trip for winner and one (1) guest to Tampa Bay, FL to attend Super Bowl XLIII. Trip consists of round trip coach air transportation from major airport nearest winner's residence in the U.S., standard double occupancy hotel accommodations and 2 tickets to the Super Bowl currently scheduled for 2/1/09 Approximate Retail Value ("ARV") = $4,800. The Grand Prize may also include, in Sponsor's sole discretion, production of the story from the winning video as a television commercial to be aired during the televised broadcast of the national pregame show before Super Bowl XLIII and/or the possibly of winner appearing in an NFL commercial and/or print advertisement. Actual value may vary based upon location of winner's residence. If winner resides within a 100-mile radius of Tampa Bay, FL, ground transportation may be provided in lieu of air transportation, at Sponsor's sole discretion, and no compensation or substitution will be provided for difference in prize value. Trip must be taken on date(s) designated by Sponsor or prize will be forfeited in its entirety and, at Sponsor's discretion, awarded to a runner-up. Travel and accommodation restrictions and other restrictions may apply. Winner and his/her guest must travel together on same itinerary and are responsible for obtaining all required travel documents. All travel arrangements must be made through travel agent of Sponsor's selection on a carrier of Sponsor's choice. Released Parties are not responsible for travel delays or cancellations. In the event Super Bowl XLIII is postponed, trip will be rescheduled. In the event Super Bowl XLIII is postponed and not rescheduled, no compensation or substitution for such portion of the prize will be provided; however, the remainder of prize package will be awarded and Sponsor will have no further obligation to winner. Seat locations will be determined by Sponsor. Winner and guest must comply with all venue rules and regulations. Failure to do so may result in forfeiture of such portion of the prize and removal from event. Released Parties reserve the right to remove or to deny attendance to any winner and/or guest who engages in a non-sportsmanlike or disruptive manner, or with intent to annoy, abuse, threaten or harass any other person at the Super Bowl game. The tickets are subject to the terms and conditions thereon. Unused tickets for any year cannot be refunded, exchanged or applied towards tickets for any subsequent years. If unused, game tickets cannot be returned, refunded or exchanged for cash value or substitute tickets. If Sponsor is unable to provide tickets, for whatever reason, no compensation or substitution will be provided; however, remainder of prize package will be awarded and Sponsor will have no further obligation to winner. Costs and expenses associated with the acceptance and use of the Grand Prize not specified herein as being awarded, including, but not limited to, federal, state and local taxes, and food, beverages, luggage fees and miscellaneous travel expenses are winner's sole responsibility. All prize details are at Sponsor's sole discretion.

Miscellaneous: No transfer, assignment, cash redemption, or substitution of prize (or portion thereof) except by Sponsor who reserves the right to substitute prize (or applicable portion thereof) of comparable or greater value as determined by Sponsor. Potential Grand Prize winner will be determined on or about 1/14/09 and will be required to execute and return an Affidavit of Eligibility, Liability and (where legal) Publicity Release within five (5) days from the date of issuance of notification. Non-compliance with the foregoing, with these Official Rules, Sponsor's inability to contact potential winner within a reasonable time period, potential winner's failure to respond within five (5) days from Sponsor's initial contact or return of prize or prize notification as non-deliverable may result in disqualification and, at Sponsor's discretion, awarding of the prize to a runner-up. Grand Prize winner's traveling companion (if a minor child or legal ward, Grand Prize winner) will be required to sign and return a Liability and (where legal) Publicity Release prior to the issuance of travel documents. If Grand Prize winner's traveling companion is a minor, he/she must be the child or legal ward of the Grand Prize winner. Entrants agree, by entering, that 1) Sponsor and its designees may use (unless prohibited by law), if entrant is the winner, entrant's name, city and state of residence, any submitted votes, photograph, and/or likeness for advertising, trade and/or any other purposes in any media now or hereafter known throughout the world in perpetuity, without further compensation, permission or notification, and 2) the Released Parties shall have no liability and will be held harmless by entrant for any claim, action, liability, loss, injury or damage to entrant or any other person or entity, including, without limitation, personal injury or death to entrant or any other person or damage to personal or real property, due in whole or in part, directly or indirectly, by reason of the acceptance, possession, use or misuse of the prize and any travel or travel-related activity thereto (including, but not limited to, attendance at the game) or participation in this Contest. Sponsor reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to modify, terminate or suspend this Contest (or any portion thereof) should virus, bugs, non-authorized human intervention or other causes corrupt or impair the administration, security, fairness or proper play of the Contest (or any portion thereof) and, in the event of termination or suspension at its discretion, select winner from those eligible, non-suspect Entries received prior to event requiring such termination or suspension using the judging procedure outlined herein.
