Undrafted LB Ben Boulware signed by Panthers

PHILADELPHIA -- Clemson linebacker Ben Boulware went through his college career playing with a chip on his shoulder, and now, it's bigger than ever.

The Tigers' middle linebacker (6-foot-0, 238 pounds) went unselected in the 2017 NFL Draft, but was picked up on a free-agent contract by the Carolina Panthers. Still, that didn't stop Boulware from wearing his disappointment on his Twitter sleeve.

Boulware was the co-ACC Defensive Player of the Year and won a College Football Playoff championship with the Tigers as a senior last year. He made four sacks and 11.5 tackles for loss among 116 stops to lead Clemson's defense.

Boulware's film clearly wasn't as impressive as his production, at least not enough to merit a draft choice. But he will have a chance to make a team all the same, and he'll be coming to camp with an edge.
