Buccaneers hosts FSU RB Dalvin Cook on pre-draft visit

How would Dalvin Cook look in Bay Orange? The Tampa Bay Buccaneers are about to get an idea.

The former Florida State star's next pre-draft visit will be to see the Bucs, per NFL Network Insider Ian Rapoport. For now, it appears Bucs RB Doug Martin is part of the team's plans despite a four-game suspension for a violation of the NFL's policy on performance-enhancing drugs. But that doesn't mean the Bucs aren't taking a close look at what is considered to be a very deep pool of gifted rushers in the 2017 NFL Draft.

Along with Cook, the club has also scheduled pre-draft visits with D'Onta Foreman of Texas and Joe Mixon of Oklahoma. The Bucs hold the No. 19 overall pick in the draft, and their position needs include running back, defensive line and safety.

Cook, a three-year starter for the Seminoles, offers a versatile skill set with outstanding vision, receiving skills and big-play speed. He's also made pre-draft visits to the Philadelphia Eagles, Cincinnati Bengals and Cleveland Browns, among others. NFL Network's Heath Evans regards Cook as the No. 1 overall prospect in the draft.
