NFL will fine players for attending event at Las Vegas casino

The NFL will fine a group of current players who attended in a sporting event at a Las Vegas casino, a source informed of the situation told NFL Network Insider Ian Rapoport.

Several current NFL players took part in "The Pro Football Arm Wrestling Championship" last week at the MGM Grand Resort in Las Vegas. The league's policy against gambling bars players from taking part in promotional events at casinos.

James Harrison, Kenny Stills, Marquette King, NaVorro Bowman and Patrick Chung are among the players who will be fined for attending the event, Rapoport reported. The specific fine amounts have not been disclosed.

Marshawn Lynch, who told the Raiders last week he intends to come out retirement to play for the team, also attended the Las Vegas event. However, he is still officially retired and he will not be fined by the NFL, Rapoport reported.
