Forrest Lamp's playing status uncertain for Senior Bowl

MOBILE, Ala. -- Former Western Kentucky offensive lineman Forrest Lamp, a potential 2017 first-round draft choice, is questionable to play in the Reese's Senior Bowl on Saturday after suffering a high ankle sprain during Tuesday's practice.

Lamp's agent, Erik Burkhardt, revealed details of Lamp's injury and playing status through a release:

Senior Bowl Executive Director Phil Savage said none of the South squad injuries, which includes Lamp, are serious in nature. Lamp is one of several Senior Bowl players who could be a first-round selection, according to NFL.com analyst Lance Zierlein, though Zierlein believes the former Hilltoppers left tackle will play guard at the next level.

Alabama DL Jonathan Allen and LB Ryan Anderson told College Football 24/7 earlier this month that Lamp was the top offensive tackle they faced during the 2016 season.
