Jordy Nelson (ribs) knocked out early in win

Jordy Nelson's afternoon ended prematurely.

The Packers wideout left Sunday's wild-card win over the Giants after taking a vicious hit from New York cornerback Leon Hall and did not return.

Nelson sat out an offensive series before the Packers carted him off to the locker room. The Pro Bowl receiver was ruled out with a rib injury following halftime.

Coach Mike McCarthy offered no update on the wideout's status following the game.

Nelson nabbed just one catch for 13 yards before departing. His absence leaves quarterback Aaron Rodgers to target fellow wideouts Randall Cobb, Davante Adams and Geronimo Allison along with tight end Jared Cook.
