Just because you didn't make it to the playoffs when you played for the New York Jets, doesn't mean you don't have postseason experience.
At least don't tell Giants defensive tackle Damon "Snacks" Harrison. He's been to the playoffs for years now, just by playing video games.
He has been playing with the Packers on Madden NFL 17 to get ready for this weekend's wild-card round matchup.
"I just won a Super Bowl last night on Madden with the Green Bay Packers. I go to the playoffs every year on Madden, so I have some playoff experience if guys want to talk to me and lean on me," Harrison jokingly told reporters Thursday, via the New York Daily News. "The team looks a little different. I made some cuts, added some guys, edited some contracts so I could have some cap space. But I was using Rodgers pretty good on Madden, so hopefully I know some of his weaknesses, because you know Madden doesn't lie."
Harrison played four years with the New York Jets before signing a five-year, $46.25 million deal with $24 million guaranteed to help the Giants stop their opponents' run game. He's been a great addition this season with 55 tackles, 2.5 sacks, and a forced fumble.
If the Giants are able to stop Aaron Rodgers this weekend, this might go down as one of the best excuses to play video games of all-time. If someone gripes and says you're spending too much time playing Madden, just say "I'm training." It might work for you too.
