Evidently, people still like football.

That's the consensus reaction after 35.1 million viewers tuned in for the Thanksgiving showdown between Dallas and Washington, which aired on FOX and was the most-watched regular season contest since 1995. That season, 35.7 million watched the Cowboys top the Chiefs 24-12 on Thanksgiving.

2016's Dallas game, which ended in a 31-26 Cowboys victory, also ranked as the most-watched non-playoff FOX game in history. Football is alive and well.
