Ron Rivera: No timetable for Luke Kuechly's return

The Carolina Panthers are unsure when Luke Kuechly will return from a concussion suffered in Thursday's victory over the New Orleans Saints.

Coach Ron Rivera told reporters Monday there is no timetable for the defensive leader's return to game-action.

Kuechly left the Week 11 win after taking a helmet to the chest and getting hit in the back of the helmet by a teammate.

The 25-year-old tackling maven missed three games last season due to a concussion.

To make matters worse for the 4-6 Panthers, who are clinging to faint playoff hopes, Kuechly's backup, A.J. Klein, also remains in concussion protocol after missing last week's tilt.
