Hue Jackson: Cody Kessler to start for Browns

The Cody Kessler train is rumbling toward Rocky Top.

Browns coach Hue Jackson announced Thursday that Cleveland's rookie quarterback will suit up and start on Sunday against the Tennessee Titans.

"Cody Kessler practiced (in) full," Jackson said, per the team's Twitter feed. "I think he's ready to go."

Kessler was knocked out of last week's loss to the Patriots with a rib injury. He looked solid guiding the Browns on a nine-play, 75-yard touchdown march, but took a safety on the following series after absorbing a brutal hit that ushered him to the sideline.

Jackson was unsure if Josh McCown, who suffered a broken collarbone in Week 2, would be ready for Sunday. The veteran passer threw the ball for the first time on Wednesday and Thursday. The Browns also have rookie Kevin Hogan on the active roster.

With the way this season has gone for Cleveland, we could see all three come Sunday.
