It was a Von-due party this past Sunday in Denver.
Von Miller was a one-man wrecking crew, going full John McClane on the Colts' offensive line in a 34-20 victory. The defending Super Bowl MVP had three quarterback takedowns, including the game-clinching strip sack that led Week 2's Top "Performance Moments of the Week," presented by Bridgestone.
The Broncos were clinging to a six-point lead with under two minutes to go, and Andrew Luck needed to drive 75 yards for the potential game-winning score. The Colts' mission, however, barely got off the ground, as it was Miller's time to shine.
The outside linebacker easily beat Indy offensive lineman Joe Reitz off the right side, and torpedoed straight toward his target. He was able to swat the ball out of Luck's hand, and knocked the quarterback down in the process. Shane Ray recovered Luck's fumble on Miller's third sack of the game, and raced 15 yards to pay dirt to put Denver up by two possessions.
With fellow dynamic pass rusher DeMarcus Ware out for the next few weeks, the Von-ster will need to continue his terrorizing of opposing quarterbacks and offensive lines to keep Denver atop a competitive AFC West. He currently leads the league with four sacks over the first two weeks.
Another player who has had a few incredible performances in the postseason came up big for the Patriots as well this past weekend. Twenty-six of LeGarrette Blount's 123 rushing yards came on a run that featured a little triangle-button action. The 250-pound tailback had no problem hurdling over a helpless Byron Maxwell. Blount and the Patriots rumbled to a 31-24 win in Foxborough.

Ageless wonder Frank Gore continues to find the end zone ... Two different Coopers, Oakland's Amari and Arizona's Marcus, each had key plays ...
