Tyrann Mathieu, John Brown not on Cards' injury report

After missing the majority of August, Tyrann Mathieu and John Brown are noticeably absent from the Arizona Cardinals' Week 1 injury report.

Returning from a December ACL tear, Mathieu sat out the entire preseason docket. Still, coach Bruce Arians has said he expects the 2015 All Pro to be "out there full speed, ready to roll" versus the New England Patriots on Sunday night.

Arians doubled down over the weekend, adding that Mathieu will be available for "every single play" in the season opener.

Brown's return is trickier, as he was still feeling the effects of a July 31 concussion nearly a month later. On a positive note, he started the preseason finale and should be ready to play -- even if it's only in a limited role.

"Whatever it is, whatever coach puts me at, I accept the role," Brown said early this week, via the team's official website.

The Cardinals should have all hands on deck for Sunday's marquee matchup.
