Injuries: Carlos Hyde (concussion) cleared for activity

Carlos Hyde's arrow is pointing up for Monday Night Football.

The 49ers running back was seen in uniform during Wednesday's practice after being cleared for football activities by team doctors, per multiple reports.

Hyde is returning from the concussion he suffered in San Francisco's preseason game against the Green Bay Packers on Aug. 26.

The third-year back wore a blue no-contact jersey in Wednesday's session, but his return is a promising development for the team's Week 1 showdown with the Los Angeles Rams.

The Niners figure to run the ball plenty under new coach Chip Kelly, with Hyde leading the way ahead of Mike Davis, Shaun Draughn and DuJuan Harris.

For a team lacking skill-player difference-makers at every level, entering the campaign with Hyde in one piece is critical to staying afloat -- if that's what they plan to do -- in the NFC West.
