Kubiak: Sanchez decision will take 'three or four days'

Now that Trevor Siemian has won Denver's quarterback competition, Mark Sanchez's future with the organization is up in the air.

Releasing Sanchez would save the Broncos $4.5 million while recouping the conditional seventh-round draft pick that was ear-marked for the Eagles as compensation for the mid-March trade.

Coach Gary Kubiak failed to offer a ringing endorsement Monday when asked about Sanchez's chances of making the final roster.

"Mark has done a great job throughout the course of the offseason and training camp," Kubiak said. "We're in the process of putting this football team together right now. So that's going to take up to the next three or four days."

The Broncos are reportedly shopping Sanchez around the league in a last-ditch effort to shake a late-round draft pick out of a quarterback-needy club. Of course, any interested teams understand the odds are high that Sanchez will be free for the taking once he is released.
