Josh Norman: 'Rough year' ahead for Odell Beckham

Josh Norman is on the cover of ESPN The Magazine this month, a sure sign he said a bunch of stuff that will get people riled up. This is the same reason Stillwater got the Rolling Stone cover in 1973.

Sure enough, Norman rips the Carolina Panthers ("They wanted it to be about the two main guys, Cam and Luke"), defends the Redskins name ("I'm part Native American on both my mom's and my dad's side") and offers the obligatory "I'm the best cornerback on Earth" boast.

But no profile on Norman would be complete without some talk about New York Giants star Odell Beckham Jr.

"Everybody saw what he was," Norman said, referring (once again) to the Dec. 20 game in which Beckham was charged with three personal fouls involving Norman. "People from around the league were coming up to me afterward and saying, 'He does that crap all the time.' He lost so much respect from people for that little tantrum.

"I've already got a couple people telling me, 'OK, I've got a hit out on him.' It's going to be rough for him this year. And he brought it on himself."

You can be sure ears at Park Avenue perk up when one star player says there's a "hit" out on another. And just a reminder: Norman and Beckham are now division mates, ensuring they will square off at least twice a year for the foreseeable future. Like it or not, this story will go on.
