Deshaun Watson entered the 2015 season with questions about his health and durability following an injury plagued freshman season in 2014. Watson exceeded expectations, earning ACC Player of the Year honors in leading Clemson to the College Football Playoff championship game against Alabama, in which he put forth a stellar effort in defeat.

CFB 24/7 is marking the days to the start of the 2016 season by counting down the top 25 players in college football.

Like Stanford's Christian McCaffrey, many are left to wonder what Watson can do for an encore. NFL scouts will be closely monitoring Watson's development as a passer this year.

Pulling back the curtain on the vote

Watson earned votes from all seven CFB 24/7 experts, including four first-place votes. In CFB 24/7's "16 for '16" series, Watson was rated No. 1 on the top Heisman Trophy contenders list.
