Florida State is once again loaded with talent -- offensive tackle Roderick Johnson follows safety Derwin James as the second consecutive Seminoles player on this year's #CFBTop25 countdown.
As a freshman in 2014, Johnson earned his way into a starting role for a formidable Florida State line that protected quarterback Jameis Winston and paved the way for running backs Karlos Williams and Dalvin Cook. In 2015, Johnson started every game at left tackle and earned first-team All-ACC honors for his stellar play. This season, Johnson is a strong candidate for the Outland Trophy.
Pulling back the curtain on the vote
Johnson -- one of two offensive linemen in the #CFBTop25 countdown -- received votes from three of seven CFB 24/7 experts. Two of those three votes were in the top 10.

Where do fans rank Johnson?
We asked Twitter users who they considered the best player in college football. It came as little surprise that Johnson did not receive a vote. Offensive linemen rarely perform well in these type of voting procedures. However, fans would be wise to pay attention. The Seminoles have had five offensive linemen drafted in the past four years, including a first-rounder in Cameron Erving in the 2015 NFL Draft.
