Russell Wilson poster cashes in on '80s, '90s nostalgia

Nostalgia sells.

It explains why Guns 'N Roses is in the midst of a sold-out stadium tour, Ghostbusters is a big summer hit and Britney Spears has the most popular show in Vegas. It also explains why something like this can exist:

Yes, that's Seahawks quarterback Russell Wilson in a new poster currently being sold for $20 a pop on the website for Wilson's Why Not You Foundation. "Armed and Dangerous" was produced by Tock and John Costacos, collectively known as the Costacos Brothers, the mad genius tandem behind the unintentionally hilarious sports posters that adorned millions of bedroom walls in the 80s and early 90s.

The brothers, who are Seattle natives, came "out of retirement" to create the new poster. All proceeds go to Wilson's charity.

Anyway, Russell Wilsonisn't the most self-aware of NFL stars, but I think even he's in on the joke here. I think.
