Nigel Bradham arrested on suspicion of assault

Philadelphia Eagles linebacker Nigel Bradham was arrested by Miami Beach police on suspicion of battery/aggravated assault on Monday stemming from an alleged incident that occurred at a Miami hotel, according to Miami-Dade County Court and police records.

According to a Miami Beach Police Department arrest report, Bradham got into a verbal altercation with an individual working at the Hilton Bentley South Beach hotel on Thursday. He then allegedly punched the individual "without provocation" in the nose with his closed fist, causing the victim to fall to the ground. Other members of Bradham's group then joined in on the attack before fleeing the scene with Bradham, the report states.

Bradham surrendered to Miami Beach Police on Monday after the victim and witnesses identified him via photographic lineups, according to police.

Bradham reported to Eagles training camp on Wednesday and will practice with the team Thursday, Eagles coach Doug Pederson told reporters Wednesday. Pederson added he does not forsee Bradham to be released by the team and stated the linebacker was "humbled" by what happened.

"He understands the magnitude" of the charges, Pederson added.

The Eagles did not immediately respond to a request for comment on Bradham's arrest.

Bradham, 26, signed a two-year deal with the Eagles in March. In 11 games with the Buffalo Bills last season, Bradham recorded 59 tackles and a sack.
