Colts owner Jim Irsay buys guitar once owned by Prince

Indianapolis Colts owner Jim Irsay has a nice collection of instruments on his hands.

Irsay has bought instruments once owned by musicians Jerry Garcia of Grateful Dead, John Lennon and Ringo Starr of The Beatles and singer-songwriter Bob Dylan.

The owner added to his selecton on Saturday. Irsay purchased the "Yellow Cloud" electric guitar that Prince once used in concerts. The Colts owner paid a hefty $137,500 for the guitar at an auction in Beverly Hills, according to the Associated Press.

Prince used the guitar from the late 1980s to the mid-1990s. The instrument was a favorite of the late musician, according to Heritage Auctions. Heritage Auctions, which conducted the auction, also auctioned off several other Prince memorabilia.

There has been talk that Prince's Paisley Park home in Minnesota will be turned into museum. If the residence does turn into a museum, speaking from somebody who's been fortunate enough to visit the house, I recommended paying it a visit.
