Pete Carroll on Curry 2 sneakers: 'What's the fuss?'

Even Pete Carroll has an opinion on Steph Curry's new sneakers.

The Curry 2 was buried by social media criticism upon its release last Wednesday, the general consensus being the Golden State Warriors star was now hawking $120 Dad Shoes. The reigning NBA MVP even responded to the criticism after Game 4 of the NBA Finals, defending the sneakers as "fire."

Carroll, the 64-year-old Seahawks coach who has worn white Nike Monarchs forever, was quite taken with the "Chef Currys."

As of 10:30 a.m. PT on Tuesday, 71 percent of the nearly 35,000 people who voted on Carroll's poll believe the Seahawks coach should stick with the Monarchs. While there's no proof public sentiment against the sneakers played a role in Curry's 8-for-21 shooting performance in Golden State's Game 5 loss to the Cavs, feel free to assume it.
