Report: Connor Barth will sign with New Orleans Saints

Connor Barth lost his job when the Tampa Bay Buccaneers drafted a kicker in the second round. Now, he has found a new gig.

ESPN's Adam Schefter reported Thursday that Barth is on his way to New Orleans to sign with the Saints. Barth most likely will compete with Kai Forbath for kicking duties in the Crescent City.

Barth made 23 of 28 field-goal attempts after replacing the ineffective Kyle Brindza last season in Tampa. Barth, 30, became expendable when the Bucs committed a second-round pick to Florida State All-American kicker Roberto Aguayo at last month's draft.

Barth has bounced around the NFL since 2008, spending time with the Chiefs, Bucs and Broncos. He has a career field-goal conversion rate of 84.8 percent. That will keep you on the grid.
