Jared Goff confident he's the right man for L.A. Rams

If the Los Angeles Rams selected Jared Goff with the No. 1 pick they will get a player that's confident he'll be able to handle the bright lights of Hollywood.

Goff interviewed with the team's official website and expressed that he has the tools to shift the Rams' fortunes.

"I'm just very confident in myself. I turned around Cal football -- had a lot of help doing it, but I had a big role in it," Goff said. "I know it's a completely different level and a lot of different stuff going on, but I'm just very confident in myself and my abilities."

In fact, the Cal product wants to stay in California and play for the Rams.

"I was extremely excited," Goff said when the Rams acquired the No. 1 from the Titans. "I was hoping that it would work out and become a Ram and make everything work."

The Rams are reportedly leaning towards selecting Goff. Initial indications are that he talks like he's ready for the big stage.

"I think I can be very successful if I put my mind to it -- really work hard and prepare the right way," the quarterback explained."

Los Angeles is on the clock.
