Case Keenum signs first-round RFA tender with Rams

Case Keenum is sticking with the Los Angeles Rams -- at least for now.

NFL Media Insider Ian Rapoport reported Monday that the fifth-year quarterback signed his first-round restricted-free-agent tender, per a source informed of his actions. The one-year deal is worth roughly $3.6 million.

Keenum joined his teammates this week for the start of offseason workouts, per NFL Media's Steve Wyche, but it's fair to wonder how long the signal-caller will remain with the Rams, who are fully expected to nab a quarterback with the No. 1 overall pick.

If someone wants to trade for Keenum, it's now possible. Nobody's going to sell the farm for a largely unproven arm, but long-time Broncos beat writer Mike Klis believes Denver "might have interest" if they're still looking for help after the draft. Keenum's salary, though, might prohibit teams from chasing him.

NFL Media's Michael Silver believes the Rams will use the No. 1 pick on Cal's Jared Goff, silencing months of hot air from the team about comfortably backing Keenum as the starter. Odds suggest that Keenum will stay in Los Angeles as the backup with Sean Mannion fighting for the No. 3 role. If anyone's hitting the bricks, we'd expect it to be the disappointing Nick Foles.
