Jared Goff to visit Saints, Eagles, Jets, 49ers this week

NFL clubs don't have much more time to finalize their evaluations of prospects for the 2016 NFL Draft, and at least four of those teams haven't yet closed the scouting book on Jared Goff.

The Philadelphia Eagles, New Orleans Saints and New York Jets will all host the former Cal quarterback on pre-draft visits this week, according to NFL Media's Mike Silver. The San Francisco 49ers are also hosting Goff this week, along with North Dakota State's Carson Wentz. Goff is considered one of the top two quarterbacks available, along with Wentz.

The Eagles have already put Goff through a private workout. In fact, new coach Doug Pederson and a contingent of Eagles officials have made their way around the country working out many of the draft's top passers. Philadelphia holds the No. 8 overall pick of the draft after trading up with the Miami Dolphins from the No. 13 pick.

The Jets are negotiating with quarterback Ryan Fitzpatrick on a new contract, though with Fitzgerald at age 33, the club's draft interest in a quarterback could be unaffected by an agreement. As for the Saints, Drew Brees is even older (37). Based on NFL Media mock draft projections, the Saints would likely have to trade up from the No. 12 overall pick to acquire Goff, and the Jets (No. 20 overall) would have to make an even bigger move.

Analyst Daniel Jeremiah is the only NFL Media mock draft to currently project Goff to be available to the Saints.
